LIQUORS
by Harry Lythall - SM0VPO

When you have made your alcohol you can flavour it by several means. There are concentrates available to give an almost authentic flavour of almost any liquor or spirit. Here are my favourites. By the way, one legal substitute for home distilled spirit is Polish Spirit, which is about 80% alcohol by volume.

Gin

Mix the ingredients and store them in an air tight jar for 10 days, then remove the berries. If there is any deposit from the berries, then pass the liquid through a coffee filter to remove them.

Tia Maria (Cahlua)

Mix the ingredients well whilst still hot, then cool in the refrigerator before drinking.

Cointreau (Orange liquour)

Suspend an un-peeled orange in the upper half of a Kilner jar as normally used for preserving fruit. Pour the alcohol into the jar and ensure that the orange does NOT touch the alcohol. Three weeks later, bring the water to the boil, add the sugar and stir until all the sugar is dissolved. Add to the slightly orange coloured alcohol beneath the sorry looking orange.

Malabu (Coconut liquour)

Mix them.

Creme de Menth

Mix them.

Have fun, but don't get too pissed. regards HARRY, Lunda, Sweden.
